Requirements
What You Need to Qualify
No degree required
SSW Type 1 does not require a university degree. Skills tests substitute.
Japanese N4 or JFT-Basic
Pass JLPT N4 or the Japanese Foundation Test. IJK prepares you from scratch.
Sector skills test
Each of the 17 industries has a specific skills test. IJK identifies and prepares you for yours.
Age 18+
No upper age limit. Prior sector experience is helpful but not always required.
